Categories#

• Longsword - beginners

Admission Rules#

The admission rules are the same as previously:

• No more than 2 years of HEMA experience
• No medals or record of major success (like top-16 at big tournaments) from any HEMA tournaments
• No medals from related sports (tap fight, buhurt, olympic fencing)

Rules#

We will use the rules of Swordplay-2026 tournament (see Longsword section).

Swordplay-2026 rules.

To create better experience and safety for the beginners, we have the following difference to the Swordplay ruleset:

1. One-handed strikes do not count at all
2. Grappling is not allowed, the exchange will be stopped immediately
3. We will be more cautious to safety violations and excessive force rules applications, so aim for lower intensity than usually.
